Appleby Golf Club

A true moorland course situated on Brackenber Moor just outside the ancient royal borough of Appleby. The course has occupied its current site since 1903.

Noted locally for its excellent greens and year round playability, it's a fair test of golf for players of all abilities. It's a course that we play at least once a year, usually more because of its excellent drainage and year round condition.

Situated in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, it offers a great panorama of views taking in the Northern Pennines, the Lake District Fells and the Howgills.

"The scenery is stunning. The greens are testing, quick with subtle humps and hollows. The fairways are generous, at that time the rough was easily playable. Each hole was different, the par 3 4th and 15th being memorable." - UK Golf Guide
